Acceptable Use Policy

Lounge & Mingle is for adults aged 27 and over looking for genuine connection — conversation, dating, friendship, and events attended in person. That is what the service is for, and using it for anything else is a breach of this policy.

This policy sets out the limits. It applies to every member, every profile, every message, every photograph, and every event hosted through the platform.

It forms part of our Terms of Service and sits alongside our Community Guidelines. Where the Guidelines explain the spirit of the community, this policy states the hard limits. Breach of anything on this page can result in immediate and permanent removal.

1. Who this applies to

Lounge & Mingle is for adults aged 27 and over who are looking for genuine connection. Everyone who accesses the service is bound by this policy, including members, event hosts, and guests attending an event organised through the platform.

2. Prohibited people

You may not use Lounge & Mingle if you:

• are under 27 years of age
• are a registered sex offender, or are subject to a court order restricting contact with adults or children
• have been convicted of a violent, sexual, or fraud-related offence against another person, unless a conviction is spent and we have agreed otherwise in writing
• have previously been removed from the platform, whether or not under the same name
• are barred from using the service under the sanctions or export-control laws that apply to us

We may verify identity and age at any point, and we may suspend an account while we do so.

3. Prohibited conduct

Do not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone, on or off the platform
• discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
• ignore a refusal. No means no, the first time. Continuing to contact someone who has declined, unmatched, or asked you to stop is harassment
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your age, identity, photograph, relationship status or intentions, or misrepresent an affiliation with any person or organisation. This includes parody accounts
• engage in predatory behaviour of any kind. We operate a zero-tolerance policy on this and do not issue warnings for it
• attempt to obtain another member’s private information for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
• share another person’s private information— photographs, messages, contact details, workplace or home address — without their consent
• record or photograph another member at an event without their consent
• create multiple accounts, or return after removal under a new identity
• scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-collect member data or photographs by any means, automated or manual
• attempt to circumvent, probe or disrupt our security, rate limits, or moderation systems

4. Prohibited content

Do not post, send, or link to:

• Any content involving a minor in a sexual context. This is reported to law enforcement without warning and without appeal
• Pornography or other mature-audience content— imagery, literature or any other media designed for the purpose of sexual gratification — and sexually explicit material or nudity of any kind. This is a social discovery platform, not an adult service
• Hateful content, including material promoting violence or dehumanisation against any group
• Graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying self-harm, suicide or eating disorders
• Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
• Illegal goods or services, including controlled drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit items, or forged documents
• Malware or phishing links, or anything designed to compromise another member’s device or account

5. Prohibited commercial and financial activity

This section matters both to member safety and to our obligations to our payment providers.

Lounge & Mingle is an online dating and matchmaking service. It is not an adult service and does not host adult content. The following are prohibited outright, and the list deliberately mirrors the categories our payment providers prohibit.

Lounge & Mingle may not be used for:

• Adult services, including prostitution, escorting, pay-per-view content, sexual massage, fetish services, mail-order bride or paid introduction services, and adult live-chat. We do not offer these and members may not use the platform to solicit, advertise or arrange them
• Human trafficking, or any non-consensual sexual act, and promoting or advocating for commercial sexual services
• Compensated or transactional dating, including “sugar” arrangements, allowances, or any arrangement in which companionship is exchanged for financial support
• Sex work solicitation of any kind, or advertising adult services
• Soliciting money, gifts or financial assistance from other members. Asking another member for money is the single most common form of fraud on dating platforms and we treat it as fraud
• Sharing your own payment details to receive money from members— bank details, PayPal, Revolut, Wise, cash apps, gift card codes or cryptocurrency wallet addresses. Posting these is grounds for removal whether or not anyone pays
• Romance fraud, advance-fee fraud, or any deceptive scheme to obtain money or personal information
• “Get rich quick” schemes, including investment opportunities or any service promising high rewards, and cryptocurrency or trading promotion of any kind, including “mentorship” and signal groups
• Multi-level marketing, including any scheme offering commission or recruitment-based sales, and commercial promotion of any business, product or service
• Advertising or sellinganything to other members, other than through event tickets sold via the platform’s own facilities

Payments taken through Lounge & Mingle are for memberships and event tickets only. Any attempt to use our payment facilities for another purpose is a breach of this policy and of our agreement with our payment providers.

6. Events

Events hosted through the platform are subject to everything above, and in addition:

• events must not be a front for anything prohibited by section 5
• hosts must not require attendees to purchase anything off-platform as a condition of attendance
• hosts are responsible for the lawfulness of their event, including any licensing, insurance and safety obligations
• an event that a host cancels or materially changes triggers an automatic refund under our Refunds and Cancellation Policy

7. How we enforce this

We act on reports from members and on our own moderation. Depending on severity, we may remove the offending content, issue a warning, restrict features on the account, suspend the account pending review, or permanently remove it.

For anything involving minors, credible threats of violence, or sexual exploitation, we go straight to permanent removal. There is no warning and no appeal, and we report to law enforcement and cooperate fully with any investigation. See our Law Enforcement Guidelines.

Removal for breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund of an unused membership period, save where our Refunds and Cancellation Policy or your statutory rights provide otherwise. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

8. Reporting a breach

Every profile and conversation has a report control, and reports are reviewed by a person. If you are in immediate danger, contact the police on 999. Report to us afterwards so we can act on the account.
