Lounge & Mingle

Community Guidelines

Effective date: 12 August 2026

Lounge & Mingle is for adults aged 27 and over looking for genuine, intentional connections. These guidelines exist so everyone gets a fair shot at that. They apply everywhere — profiles, photos, messages, events, and in person at anything organised through the platform.

The short version: be a decent person. Be who you say you are. Take no for an answer.

1. Be who you say you are

  • Use your real name and recent photographs of yourself
  • Do not impersonate anyone, real or invented
  • Do not misrepresent your age, relationship status, job or circumstances
  • One person, one account
  • If you are in a relationship and looking anyway, say so— people are entitled to decide for themselves

Catfishing is the fastest way to lose your account permanently.

2. Take no for an answer

A conversation that stops is an answer. An unmatched profile is an answer. Silence is an answer.

  • Do not send repeated messages to someone who has not replied
  • Do not create a new account to contact someone who blocked you
  • Do not pressure anyone for photos, contact details, or to meet
  • Do not pressure anyone into anything sexual, ever

Persistence is not romantic. It is harassment, and we treat it as such.

3. No harassment or abuse

  • Do not threaten, intimidate, stalk or bully anyone
  • Do not send sexual content or images that were not asked for
  • Do not comment on someone's body in a way you would not say to their face
  • Do not pile on, brigade, or encourage others to target a member
  • Do not follow someone to an event they said they would attend, uninvited

4. No hate

Zero tolerance for content attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any other protected characteristic.

This includes the sensitive fields on our own platform. Members share genotype, blood group, ethnicity, skin tone and religion voluntarily. Using that information to demean, exclude with hostility, or harass someone is a serious breach.

Declining to match with someone is your right. Telling them why in cruel terms is not.

5. Nothing involving minors

Absolute, no exceptions. Any content sexualising a minor results in immediate permanent removal and a report to law enforcement. We do not warn, we do not appeal, and we cooperate fully with any investigation.

Our minimum age is 27. If you believe someone underage is using the platform, report it to safety@loungeandmingle.com immediately.

6. No scams, no money

Nobody legitimate on this platform will ask you for money.

  • Do not ask members for money, gifts, or financial help of any kind
  • Do not ask for bank details, card numbers or crypto wallet addresses
  • Do not promote investments, trading schemes or "opportunities"
  • Do not claim an emergency to solicit funds

If someone asks you for money, report them. Do not send it. Romance fraud is the most common serious harm on dating platforms, and it usually starts with a sympathetic story.

7. Photographs

Photos must be of you, recent, and clearly show your face. They must not contain:

  • nudity or sexual content
  • other people who have not agreed to appear, and never children
  • contact details, social handles or QR codes
  • stock images, celebrity photos, or AI-generated likenesses

Photos are screened automatically before publication. If a photo is rejected and you think that was wrong, ask for a human to review it — email support@loungeandmingle.com.

8. Respect privacy

What happens in a conversation stays there.

  • Do not screenshot and share someone's messages or profile
  • Do not repost someone's photos elsewhere
  • Do not share anyone's location, workplace, or contact details
  • Do not out anyone — sexuality, health, genotype, immigration status, or anything else told to you in confidence

Someone sharing their genotype or blood group with you did so to make an informed decision together. It is not yours to repeat.

9. At events

  • Be prepared to show photo ID — the age requirement is enforced
  • Check in properly; entry may be refused without a valid booking
  • Follow the venue's rules and any dress code
  • No photography or recording of other attendees without their consent
  • Do not follow anyone out, or wait for them
  • Drink responsibly — you can be refused entry or removed

Removal from an event for misconduct means no refund.

How we enforce this

Depending on severity we may remove content, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend the account, or remove it permanently. For threats, sexual misconduct, fraud, or anything involving a minor, we act immediately and may contact the police.

What you can expect from us. Where we can, we will tell you what happened and why. You can appeal to support@loungeandmingle.com and a person will review it. We do not remove accounts on a whim, or on the strength of one unverified complaint.

Where automation is involved— photo screening, spam detection — you can always ask for human review. No one should lose access on an algorithm's say-so alone.

We keep safety and moderation records for at least 12 months, and longer for serious cases. Without it, anyone removed for harassment could simply re-register.

Reporting

Use the report option on any profile, message or event, or email safety@loungeandmingle.com.

If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first. UK: 999. US: 911. Tell us afterwards and we will assist any investigation.

Reports are confidential — we never tell the person who reported them. Please report even if you are not sure. We would far rather look at something that turns out to be nothing.
