Our approach
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described in our Privacy Policy, to resolve safety concerns, or to meet a legal obligation. A fixed period never overrides a valid preservation request, legal hold or your statutory rights.

Deleting your account. When you ask us to delete your account we hide it immediately and record the request. You can restore it for 30 days. After that your personal data is irreversibly anonymised— identity and heritage details, photographs, location, messages and sign-in credentials are deleted, and the remaining account record is stripped of anything that identifies you.
Legal holds. A record placed under legal hold is kept until the hold is lifted, even if its normal period has passed. We use this only where we must: an unresolved dispute, an investigation, or a legal claim. It never extends a period for our own convenience.
Two things are not yet covered by these automated processes: backup expiry, since the periods above describe live data and our backups rotate on their own schedule, and cancelling a paid subscription at the point of deletion. Until both are complete we describe these periods as targets rather than guarantees.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict your information by emailing privacy@loungeandmingle.com. Some records may need to be retained for legal, financial or safety reasons; if an exception applies, we will explain it.
